AIRE Santa Monica

AIRE Santa Monica is a boutique collection of 19 purposefully designed residences located about a mile from the world-famous beach and pier, where it’s enviably positioned to embrace Santa Monica’s breezy coastal spirit. The intelligent, expansive designs envisioned by award-winning JFAK Architects accentuate light, height and space with a decidedly Californian focus on open-air lifestyles.

“For AIRE, we always had a central vision aimed at creating a seamless relationship between indoor and outdoor living,” says Ken Simpson, vice president of Palisades, the Los Angeles-based developer representing this project. “We envisioned a residential space that frames an open-air courtyard meant for gathering, lounging, entertaining and simply enjoying Santa Monica’s temperate climate. The result of our ideas is comprised in three residential buildings that collectively provide the foundation for a sculpturally articulated, rich exterior design that blends flawlessly with its surroundings. AIRE’s contemporary style will create a dynamic new presence along Santa Monica’s 14th Street.”

Each home showcases gallery-like interiors with inclusions such as chef-caliber Viking Professional kitchens, German-made Leicht cabinetry and wide plank French white oak flooring. Residences are prewired and ready for the latest smart home solutions.

Courtyard-level residences are composed of nine single-story garden flats with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and outdoor living areas that connect to the central communal courtyard. Nine two-level townhomes offer three bedrooms, three bathrooms, double-height ceilings and breezy interiors. One garden townhome features three bedrooms and four bathrooms arranged on three levels.

“We purposely designed each home in accordance with Santa Monica’s light patterns, and we welcomed the beautiful effect that light has on each room throughout the day,” Simpson explains. “Since this was such an integral part of Palisades’ vision, we worked to hand-select the finest finishes and fixtures.” Clerestory windows and glass doors complement open spaces and bring additional light deep into the interior. “With our thoughtful use of materials, future residents can embrace light when they choose,” he adds.

Santa Monica is one of Southern California’s most desirable beachfront cities, and AIRE residents are near popular shopping and entertainment destinations, including Third Street Promenade and Montana Avenue. Top-rated schools, such as Crossroads and Santa Monica College, are a short walk or bike ride away. Additionally, Santa Monica is now home to three new stops on the recently completed Expo light-rail service connecting to downtown Los Angeles, as well as the popular Breeze bike share program.

“AIRE is unique as it elevates the architectural sophistication of Santa Monica and presents an opportunity for more spirited living in this highly sought-out neighborhood,” Simpson concludes. “In addition, as with all of our projects, sustainability is heavily emphasized. We specified drought-tolerant landscaping, recycled materials and energy efficient design with maximized access to natural light and ventilation.”
