Featured in the English RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2014, the Quiet Mark Treehouse and Garden by John Lewis is one of Blue Forest‘s most successful projects. Blue Forest is a company that specializes in creating customized luxury tree houses.
The house is nestled among 26 laminated Kebony timber ribs, a strong and sustainable alternative to tropical hardwood. Using interlocking, weather proof, and durable Medite Tricoya
timber fins (48 to be exact) to create three trunks, the house is firmly supported on the ground.
The interior is just as exquisitely organic as the exterior, complete with 8 floor to ceiling windows that let light flood in. A kitchenette and seating area decorated with a John Lewis Coir carpet and cedar lining ensuring that the enticing wood scent carries through.
With finishing touches of accessories, a small refrigerator from Smeg, and different textures and fabrics, this house accomplishes all it set out to do in the Showcase. The tranquility of the home settled in the garden designed by acclaimed garden designer David Domoney and 34 acres of outlying gardens allowed the 130,000 visitors to experience what a treehouse should feel like.
The house fulfilled the event’s themes of “Grow, Inspire, and Escape” and helped bring them to life in the 2014 RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.
