Leasing Launches at Aurora

[nggallery id=121 template=”sliderview” display_content=”0”] Leasing has launched at Aurora – 132 luxury rental residences atop the new 30-story, mixed-use tower in Long Island City with breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline, the East River and many of the city’s iconic bridges. Developed by G. Holdings, and designed by Michael Arad of Handel Architects, Aurora is a striking fusion of concrete and glass, which also includes retail space, a public parking garage, and a 160 room Courtyard by Marriott hotel below. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is exclusively handling the marketing and leasing efforts for the project.

“Long Island City is such an exciting and thriving destination in New York City, convenient to Manhattan, but with a great identity of its own and absolutely beautiful skyline views,” said Etai Gross, a principal at G. Holdings. “This project was very thoughtfully designed and offers luxurious and spacious apartments, while also bringing new amenities including retail, parking and a hotel to the community as it continues to grow.”

The residences at Aurora range from one-bedroom to three-bedroom apartments and include floor-to-ceiling windows, nine to eleven-foot ceiling heights, wide plank oak flooring and solar shades. The kitchens are outfitted with pure white quartz countertops, Bertazzoni stainless steel gas ranges, ovens and stoves, Bosch built-in dishwashers and paneled Leibherr built-in refrigerators. Aurora bathrooms are finished with porcelain tile floors, Grohe chrome showers and faucets, and recessed lighting.

“Aurora is a fantastic new addition to Long Island City, which has seen extreme growth in the past several years,” says Jason Hill, Marketing Director at Douglas Elliman Development Marketing. “With exquisite finishes, highly-designed interiors, a wonderful suite of lifestyle amenities and a prime location, Aurora is a truly special place to live and stands out amongst the typical New York City glass towers.”

The building’s top floor, known as “Aurora Sky Lounge,” is outfitted with a state-of-the-art fitness center, double-height residents’ lounge, and rooftop sun deck, and boasts panoramic views of the Manhattan and Long Island City skyline. A 24-hour attended lobby, communal laundry room, catering kitchen, private storage, bicycle storage, and a parking garage complete the suite of amenities at Aurora.

“This site is a really dynamic urban environment, serving as a gateway to Manhattan at the threshold of the Queensboro Bridge, and we are thrilled to be contributing to the continued growth and vitality of the Queens Plaza area,” said Mr. Arad. “We created incredibly dramatic, modern and efficient living spaces at Aurora that capitalize on the amazing views of Manhattan, Queens and Long Island.”

Located at 29-11 Queens Plaza North and just across the street from Dutch Kills Green, Aurora is within close proximity to the Queens Plaza transportation hub, with access to the E, M, 7, N, Q and R trains, as well as the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) Hunters Point station. Residents will be able to enjoy a host of dynamic restaurants, bars, art, and entertainment as the cultural infrastructure of Long Island City continues to flourish.

Residences are available for August 1 occupancy. One-bedrooms begin at $2,570, two-bedrooms begin at $3,650 and three-bedrooms begin at $5,100. For more information please contact visit www.auroralic.com.
